Software Installation

Steps

  • 1. Download [ upas_setup.exe ]
  • 2. Run Setup
  • 3. Install Location [ Recommend install to C:\UPAS ]
  • 4. Follow Setup Prompts [ Answer yes & allow access ]

Site Database

Steps

  • 1. Open Site Database Window [ Click Home icon on UPAS panel ]
  • 2. Click New Site
  • 3. Enter New Site Database Name in input dialogue [ Click ok ]
  • 4. A New Database will appear in the sites list
  • 5. Click to highlight it [ A red background will appear ]
  • 6. Click Load Site [ Closes any open site & loads selected site ]
  • 7. Click Set Default [ Sets the default site that will open on Startup ]

Add Engine

Steps

  • 1. Click expand icon [ + icon top right, window expands ]
  • 2. Click new engine [ Engine wizard window will open ]
  • 3. Select engine model from options list [ Click Next ]
  • 4. Enter a description [ ie name of door or location, Click Next ]
  • 5. Enter a short name [ Max 4 characters, click Next ]
  • 6. Enter engines Serial Number [ On the engine, max 6 digits, click Next ]
  • 7. Enter packet address [ Number between 10 - 250, click Finished ]
  • 8. Confirmation dialog will open [ Click tick to continue ]
  • 9. Information dialog will open [ Task completed successfully, click tick ]
  • 10. New engine will appear in the engines list [ Reloads the site ]

Add User

Steps

  • 1. Click expand icon [ + icon top right, window expands ]
  • 2. Click new user [ confirm add new user dialog ]
  • 3. New user window will open [ Enter new users full name ]
  • 4. Click save [ confirm save this user, click tick ]
  • 5. Question dialog appears [ Confirm add new user, click tick ]
  • 6. Click close when finished [ New user will appear in users list ]

Add Token

Steps

  • 1. Swipe new token at any reader [ unassigned token event ]
  • 2. Click expand icon [ + icon top right, window expands ]
  • 3. Click users [ user window will open ]
  • 4. Select a user [ user to assign the token to ]
  • 5. Click assign [ unassigned tokens window will open ]
  • 6. Select a token from the list [ click assign token, window closes ]
  • 7. Token added to users assigned tokens [ broadcast to engines ]
